Balance Point Technologies, Inc. has been providing consulting services, custom development, and standard applications for Exact MAX since 1996.

Our Team

Jim O'Neal, Chief Executive Officer

Jim has over 20 years of management and consulting experience with manufacturing, distribution and service companies. 

His positions have included materials, distribution, customer service, project management, and administration management responsibilities with FMC Corporation and ZF-NA. He holds a degree from the University of South Dakota School of Business and is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). He has provided implementation and consulting services for MAX and Great Plains products since 1990.

Tim Schell, Chief Technology Officer

Tim has over twenty years of manufacturing experience in a variety of capacities including inventory and production planning, manufacturing systems development, sales and marketing.

Tim's work experience has included working for two large multi-divisional corporations, which produced a mixture of products including: valves and gauges, electronic monitoring devices, trucks, glass and fiberglass. He has implemented MAX in hundreds of companies around the United States and Canada since 1990. Tim holds a degree in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) from APICS.

Dawn Hamilton, Administrative Coordinator

Dawn has over 20 years of clerical and administrative experience within the credit card, manufacturing, education, and non-profit industries. 

She has experience in customer service, human resources, and office management. Dawn is a Microsoft Certified Business Management Solutions Specialist with a Microsoft Dynamics ® GP 10.0 Financials certification.

Asen Ivanov, Application Developer

Asen has experience in database design and managing and developing of custom windows applications.

His skills include Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, VB.NET, C and C#,  ASP, html, php and Silverlight.  He holds associate degrees in Machine Engineering and Information Technologies and is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

Tom Saballus, Application Developer


Tom has 20 plus years of operations and management experience in multiple corporations within the food supermarket industries.

Capacities include inventory management, supply chain systems, and retail operations management. His software development experience spans 25 years from mainframes to today’s current technologies. He has written a wide array of applications for leading manufactures and for financial institutions that trade in the futures and options markets. Tom holds a degree in Liberal Studies from DePaul University with a focus on Applied Behavioral Science, Mathematics and various certifications from DePaul’s Institute for Professional Development.

James Hau, Consultant

James Hau has more than a decade of experience helping companies improve their business systems.

His focus is on helping decision-makers at all levels in the company gain access to the right information, at the right time, in the right format.  James has played a major role in more than a dozen systems improvement and MRP II / ERP projects.  He has been a Project Manager, Technical Advisor and Manufacturing Systems Analyst.  James holds a CPIM Designation (APICS/CAPICS Certification). James is a Lotus Notes Application Developer and Lotus Notes Business Partner.  His vast experience will help your company get and stay on the fast track for information delivery improvement!
